I am dreaming of sleep. Lol, one of the hazards of having your own business and being a full-time mommy. It is very rewarding though. I am so excited! I have been doing an incredible amount of business. I am getting ready to make Kookabear Kids an LLC. That is a big step for me.

My snap press broke but I have it all fixed and I am ready to go now. Of course, my snap company delayed my shipment of snaps so I won't be able to go into full speed production again until Friday...

Speaking of production....

If you have been wanting to do a review or giveaway with me please send me your information once more. I have been terribly neglectful of all of you and I am terribly sorry I keep putting you off. My orders have been coming in so fast every time I think I can get that extra diaper or two out to you I have to put it in an order.

I actually have a couple extra dipes in my new design so I am really anxious to get them out to you. I am really glad that I get to send you my revised dipe instead of the other. I LOVE IT. In fact, it is so unique that I am in the process of trying to get certain parts of it patented. :)

Enough business stuff..... how boring! I promise my next post will be so much more fun.

Now.... of to ZZZZZ.....zzzzz.....zzzzz

More Diapers!!!

I am swamped with order but I guess that is great right? I am still trying to get caught up from the holidays. Get some orders out for reviews. Make some new diapers to take pics of and list... if I use these for the reviews I can kill two birds with one stone...hmmm... Update my website, update etsy, facebook, blog, tweet, make more diapers....lol I love it though! I just changed the make of my diapers. I love it and the changes make a huge improvement. I am constantly changing my design to perfect it. I don't know what I will do for sure after Liberty is potty trained. She is 18 months so that isn't too far off. How will I test all my new tweeks and ideas? :)

Did I mention in the meantime my son's 7th birthday is this Sunday... Here we come Chucky E. Cheese. They do everything for you for 50 bucks plus 10 bucks for a cake. You get a truck load of stuff too. If you need a quick, easy, pretty cheap birthday go here. Just check out the place first because some are nicer than others. I am excited. I actually love going to there and playing all of the games.
It is also exciting because we are picking up Caleb to spend the weekend with us.

Well that is all I have time for now. I have to go sew. Have a happy day!

Okay, I would love to start doing give aways and sending out test diapers to all of you wonderful mommies who read my blog.

How do I do this? I am so clueless...... HELP!!!!!

Here is my idea.... if you know a pretty fair amount of info on how to drive some traffic to your blog and do free giveaways, etc..... I would love to work with you and maybe even send you some free product......

Also, am in desperate need of new product testers. My little one to the right is almost out of diapers so I won't be able to use her for a guinea pig forever. I have recently switched from pul to a brand new material for the lining of my diapers that has it's own built in, super thin, waterproof layer and is super absorbent all on it's own to prevent against leaks like no other when used with our soakers! I am also switching fro microfiber inserts to ZORB. I need to test these on different sized babies, wash and dry many times, etc....

I am always up for ideas!
Thanks!

Today is a snow day. You know, one of those days when your kids wake up at the crack of dawn even though you have to drag them out of bed any other school day. They rush to the windows in hopes that enough snow has fallen to prompt the call (dreaded by me of course) that school is canceled for the day.

The kids are rushing around as I type looking for their snow suits, boots, and gloves so they can go play outside. Their sleds are buried somewhere under the white puffy mounds of fun outside that await them.

Once the roads clear maybe we will drive to the park where there are some bigger hills and they can have some real fun. :)

I am actually enjoying my time with them today. Watching them bounce happily in their oversized clothes. They won't be little for long.

I hope that my customers who are waiting patiently on their diaper orders will understand. There is no way I can miss these beautiful moments and hide away down in my work studio sewing. I can't make it through the snow into town and to the Post Office anyhow.

It really is beautiful out.

What a wonderful, lazy, snow daze :)

Okay, so I promised you that I would write up this tutorial on how to make your own sew -in fabric labels.

It is super duper easy!

What you need:
The first thing you are going to do is buy some iron on ink jet (or laser) printable sheets. I get mine from the fabric section of Wal-mart and they are a brand called Tailor.
Then you are going to buy some twill fabric tape. They sell this by the yard at Wal-mart as well. It is about and inch wide and very cheap.

Other than your printer and an iron you have everything you need.

Step 1. go to www.avery.com and choose print and design online. Then choose create by product and enter 48860. This will give you the template for a 1"x2 5/8" address label.

Now all you have to do is create your label design in the first square. You can import any logo or picture you like and use any font or colors you like so be creative.

Step 2. Print your iron on sheets. The tailor brand sheets often tell you NOT to reverse your image for printing so make sure you just print normal if the directions state this. Some other brands of iron on transfers require you to reverse the image. Just read the instructions on the package to figure out which you should do. If you do need to reverse the image then you can do this in the options settings of your printer. Make sure to follow the instructions to make your labels colorfast. With the Tailor brand you have to rinse them in cool water and iron dry with a hot iron.

Step 3. Cut your iron labels into strips.

Step 4. Turn you iron on to high/cotton with NO steam and press your strips right onto the twill tape. I allow mine to cool and then peel them but read the instructions on your transfer sheets to find out what they recommend.

Step 5. Now you can cut and sew on each label.

I was and dry mine constantly in the dryer since I use them on my diapers and they still look awesome! I think these look super professional and they are super cheap!

Please message me to let me know how these work out for you and let me know if you need help!

Enjoy!
