Okay, I finally have some reviews coming in on the new wipe-able version of the new and improved Kookabum AI2 cloth diaper and they are really good! Here is one...

I got my kookabear AI2's last week sometime. I want to say Friday but I really am not sure. LOL

First impression was sooo cute. I love the prints that I got. Right out of the package they were "stiff". I hate using that word because it wasnt really stiff to me. I wouldnt have noticed except that it was mentioned before so I was kinda looking for it. I tried it on DS right away and was amazed at how trim it was. It literally reminded me of about the size of a sposie.
They held up great in the first wash and the "stiffness" was pretty much gone. Nothing to worry about there. I put it on DS just to see, I have no patiences to wait for a prepped diaper It actually was pretty good, for only being washed once. I think he lasted about an hour in it before I had to change him. Since I had more dipes delivered I went ahead and washed them a second time the next day. Once again came out of the washer and dryer looking the same with no problems. They honestly held for two hours after the second wash. I have washed them another time since this and they still look great! I change DS every two hours regardless of the dipe.
They dry so quickly as well. I put them in the dryer and they come out as dry as my inserts. I was expecting a longer drying time due to the Grobabies being an AI2 and it taking so long for them to dry. LOL DS is 9 months 19.7 lbs and 27 inches long and he is on the medium setting. With room to grow. They are not too tight around his thighs (chunky thighs, small waist) great. I can get a good fit with both.
With that said and it was long, I love these dipes, and plan on ordering more. DH even inspected the quality and said they were made great and looked really good! If a dipe gets DH excited then I am super happy

Kookabum Ai2 cloth diapers have a whole new lease on life....
It has been a long couple of months here. In order to make sure all my customers continued to be happy with Kookabum Diapers I have decided to heed the advice of many cloth diapering mommas out there and use materials that are more common in the diapering industry. This meant alot of remakes, fixes and learning moments. But in the end I think it all worked out very well.
We are now using PUL as the inner layer of our Kookabums so that the inside is wipeable. We made our insert a snap in one and now cover it with a minky fleece for superior softness.

We are top-stitching all of the dipes and encasing the elastic as well as using a much better snap layout and squaring off the wings for a cleaner look.

The overall design is great and I love it so I guess all in all everything happens for a purpose and sometimes when things fail it is only to make way for something better. It has definitely been a learning experience and there were moments that I really wanted to quit but I am holding on. I have gotten ahead, gotten behind, made people happy, made people mad..... but sometimes life is like that.

All of that said, This week is a new beginning for Kookabums. We shipped our first batch of our final design and are waiting anxiously for feedback to start rolling in :) It has been a long road but I am so glad that I continued on it. I hope all of our customers will be too!
